Our Partnership with Nihon Superior allows us to offer their patented wave solder alloy, SN100C to North America and Brazil. SN100C is a patented nickel stabilized tin/copper alloy that has had much success in the Far East. It is based on the eutectic 99.3% tin 0.7% copper with a trace amount of nickel which produces a dramatic improvement in the alloy when used in a wave solder application.

The major advantages of the SN100C over the other lead free alloys are:

• Bridge-free wave soldering at 250° C- 260° C (482° F- 500° F). Lower copper dissolution than other lead free alloys.
• Smooth, bright solder joints.
• Good penetration of through holes.
• No joint failure in more than six years of service.
• Excellent reliability results in thermal cycling and vibration tests.
• Does not require special solder pots.
• Easy to manage in the solder pot.
• Lower cost than silver containing lead free alloys.
• Lower drossing than other lead free alloys.

The SN100C wave solder alloy has been used successfully for over 6 years and is currently being used in over 1200 machines worldwide. More than 200 million assemblies have been produced to date with SN100C lead free alloy.
